坐落在曼谷郊区运河畔的“小炉子&小树桩”，NITAPROW为孩子们和其家人营造了一个梦幻般的仙境。这个双重项目包括一个295平方米的咖啡馆和一个256平方米的室内外游乐场，总占地4600平方米。

设计师从泰语单词"Rom"汲取灵感，它同时意味着"伞"和"遮蔽区域"。建筑师巧妙重新诠释了这些概念，打造出一种富有童趣的设计语言。咖啡馆的曲线天花和遮阳棚让人联想到自然舒展开的伞面，为户外座位区提供充足的遮荫，与郁郁葱葱的园林环境融为一体。但真正捕捉想象力的是毗邻的“小树桩”游乐场。其灵感来自一本儿童读物，这个等身大小的建筑诠释将一个中空树桩重新构想为孩子们探索思维的乐园。仿佛树干的立柱、窗户"树洞"和起伏的造型在围绕一个中庭"大树"的无缝室内外空间里交相辉映。

设计贯穿始终的是对年轻感知力的体贴考量，从小小的窗户和家具到引人入胜的分层水磨石墙，处处彰显对好奇心的关怀。“小炉子&小树桩“不仅是个咖啡店或游乐场，更是一个沉浸式环境，让现实与幻想交错，以游戏作为通用语言来滋养创造力、学习和成长。

Nestled along a canal in the outskirts of Bangkok, NITAPROW has created a whimsical wonderland for children and adults alike with Little Stove & Little Stump. This dual project comprises a 295 sq.m cafe and a 256 sq.m indoor-outdoor playground, situated on a 4,600 sq.m plot.

Taking inspiration from the Thai word "Rom," which means both "umbrella" and "sheltered area," the architects crafted a design language that playfully reinterprets these concepts. The cafe's curving roof and canopy evoke the organic lines of an unfurled umbrella, providing ample shaded outdoor seating that embraces the lush garden surroundings.

But it's the adjacent Little Stump playground that truly captures the imagination. Inspired by a children's book, this full-scale architectural interpretation reimagines a hollowed tree stump as an exploratory realm for young minds. Treetrunk-like columns, window "hollows," and undulating forms come together in a seamless indoor-outdoor space anchored by a courtyard "tree."

Throughout, thoughtful details cater to youthful sensibilities, from miniature windows and furniture to layered terrazzo walls that beckon curious eyes. More than just a playground, Little Stove & Little Stump fosters an immersive environment where reality and fantasy intertwine, nurturing creativity, learning, and growth through the universal language of play.

Founded in 2013 by partners Nita Yuvaboon and Prow Puttorngul, NITAPROW is a Bangkok-based design practice specializing in architecture and interior design. With 15-17 years of experience, the firm's portfolio encompasses newly constructed buildings, interior and exterior renovations, exhibitions, custom furniture, and master planning.

Through meticulous research and collaborations with creative thinkers, entrepreneurs, engineers, designers, and artists, NITAPROW develops conceptually engaging designs imbued with social, historical, and environmental awareness. Their "simple" architectural approach balances boldness with restraint, allowing each project's unique personality to shine.

Nita Yuvaboon holds a Bachelor of Architecture and Fine Arts from RISD, and a Master of Science in Advanced Urban Design from Columbia University's GSAPP. Prow Puttorngul also earned degrees from RISD (Bachelor of Architecture and Fine Arts) and Columbia GSAPP (Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design).
