项目 – 位于日本石卷市宁静的乡村风光中，「山麓堂」是由太田设计舎的太田健裕设计的周末住宅。该项目针对老龄化严重的农村人口需求进行设计，地区居民中有近40%年过65岁。「山麓堂」不仅仅是业主的私人度假住所，同时也是一个供家人、朋友和当地社区聚会的场所。

「山麓堂」的标志性特征之一是其宽敞的半室外“大房间”设计，占据了建筑总面积的一半以上。这一多功能空间在全年中有多种用途，可以举办家庭活动和社区聚会。其开放式布局使室内生活区与外部庭院之间的过渡十分流畅。室内采用橡木地板，逐渐过渡到沙色瓷砖和细腻的石材表面，创造了房屋与自然环境之间的无缝对话。

房屋顶部是一座轻缓的弯曲屋顶，顺应了附近山脉的轮廓。这不仅使建筑与景观融为一体，屋顶的光滑天花板还能通过光影的微妙变化，增强建筑与环境的联系。太田通过结合日本传统建筑工艺与现代材料，展示了对过去的尊重与对未来适应的承诺。

「山麓堂」的设计还特别注重灵活性。住宅采用了双层滑动隔断，使得生活空间的多种配置成为可能。这些隔断为室内外区域之间创造了流动的界限，使房屋能够根据不同的社交功能或季节灵活调整。通过将当地工艺与创新设计相结合，太田设计舎创造了一个既能促进家庭生活又能促进社区互动的空间，解决了农村人口减少的社会性挑战。

Project - Nestled in the serene rural landscape of Ishinomaki, Japan, Mountainfoot Base is a weekend home designed by Kenyu Ota of OTA archistudio. The project responds to the unique demands of an aging rural population, where nearly 40% of residents are over 65 years old. The home was conceived not only as a private retreat for its owners but as a gathering space where family, friends, and the local community can connect.

One of Mountainfoot Base’s defining features is the expansive semi-outdoor "one-room" design, which occupies more than half of the building’s total area. This versatile space serves multiple functions throughout the year, from hosting family events to community gatherings. Its open layout facilitates smooth transitions between the indoor living areas and the exterior courtyard. The use of oak flooring indoors gradually blends into sand-colored tiles and finely textured stone surfaces, creating a seamless dialogue between the house and its natural surroundings.

The home is topped with a gently curved roof, which follows the contours of the nearby mountain. This roof not only anchors the structure to the landscape but also enhances its relationship with the environment through subtle reflections of light and shadow on its glossy ceiling. The combination of traditional Japanese construction techniques with modern materials underscores Ota's commitment to creating spaces that are both respectful of the past and adaptive to the future.

Another key element of Sanrokudo’s design is its attention to flexibility. The house is designed with dual-layered sliding partitions that allow for various configurations of the living spaces.
