项目 – 嵌入清迈宁静景致中的这座引人注目的住宅，在提供都市般舒适的同时，与大自然亲密融合。该作品由WOS Architects设计工作室精心打造，与环绕的翠绿景观完美融为一体，体现出新鲜空气、葱郁树木、山景畅目和迷人的溪流的意境。这座两层高的住宅呈现出细长的轮廓，极具戏剧性的坡屋顶向上层楼板边缘倾斜，保持了优雅的比例平衡。在布局方面，住宅分为两翼，由一个双层高的中庭空间连接，形成了整个居所的核心。这个通风的中央空间两侧敞开，利用山间微风实现自然交叉通风。私密性与开放性在此处获得了巧妙的平衡，南翼包含卧室，可欣赏到迷人的山景及溪流风光，而北翼则设有客房套间和与中庭相连的开放式休息区。在上层，陡峭的屋顶营造出阁楼般宽敞的生活空间，通过精心设计的采光切口和种植树木的种植池，避免了阁楼常见的窄小憋闷感。可持续性发展也是设计的重中之重，现有家具和电器均从客户原先在曼谷的家中迁移而来，营造出延续感。间接照明为空间笼罩上柔和漫射的光线，素雅的駝色调与自然环境相得益彰。湄林之家住宅是将居住与景观完美融合的杰作，堪称设计理念与合成艺术的典范。

团队 –  WOS Architects创办于2019年，是一家坐落于曼谷的精品建筑工作室，由普策萨坤·科努顿和奥恩派林·丽拉斯里翁两位建筑师联袂领导。虽然规模不大，但WOS的作品有口皆碑，业务范围包括建筑设计、室内设计以及许多难以简单归类的创新项目。该工作室的设计理念追求简约实用，同时也大胆拥抱模糊性。WOS将建筑视为营造人与环境、主人与客人、人与自然之间的场所，他们的作品努力打破建筑与环境之间的界限。WOS这个名字本身就体现了他们的多元设计哲学——它可被视为三个无意义的英文字母，也可从泰语字母中解读为"足够"的含义。这种开放的解释性贯穿于他们的建筑语言中，拒绝刻板约束,而是根据具体环境因地制宜。从像JY住宅这样的城市紧凑型改造，到小C烘焙店这种更加宽阔的项目，WOS都能娴熟地在各种约束条件下，运用理性简约的手法。但他们也总能将微妙的模糊性融入其中，营造出引发新视角的空间体验。对于这个新兴工作室而言，创意源于探索可能性而非概率，他们的设计定义为简单、理性，但同时也充满了别具一格的多元性。

Project - Nestled in the serene Mae Rim landscapes of Chiang Mai, this striking residence offers a profound connection to nature while providing urban-style comforts. Designed by WOS Architects, the Mae Rim House seamlessly blends into its verdant surroundings, embracing fresh air, verdant trees, mountain vistas, and the soothing sounds of the Mae Sa Stream. The two-story dwelling features an elongated silhouette with a dramatically pitched roof that slopes towards the upper floor edges, maintaining an elegant proportional balance. Architecturally deft, the layout divides the residence into two wings united by a double-height atrium at the heart of the home. This airy central space, open on both sides to the outdoors, facilitates natural cross ventilation enhanced by the mountain breeze. Privacy and connection are masterfully balanced, with the southern wing housing bedrooms that offer picturesque mountain and stream views, while the northern wing contains a guest suite and open lounge linked to the atrium. On the upper level, the pitched roof creates lofty living spaces reminiscent of an attic yet without feeling confined, achieved through ingenious cutouts that allow natural light to pour in alongside planters with trees. Sustainability was also paramount, with existing furniture and appliances relocated from the client's former Bangkok home, lending a sense of continuity. Indirect lighting washes the spaces in a soft, diffused glow, while a serene taupe palette complements the natural surroundings. A triumph of design synthesis, Mae Rim House forges an indelible connection between dwelling and landscape.

Design Team - Founded in 2019, WOS Architects is a boutique Bangkok-based practice helmed by the duo of Prueksakun Kornudom and Ornpailin Leelasiriwong. Kornudom received his architectural training at Assumption University, while Leelasiriwong holds degrees from Chulalongkorn University and ETH Zurich's prestigious MAS Urban Design program. Though small in size, WOS punches well above its weight class, with a portfolio encompassing architectural design, interiors, and innovative projects that defy simple categorization. The firm's design ethos prizes simplicity and practicality, but also actively embraces ambiguity. WOS conceives of architecture as crafting places not just for human dwellers, but for guests and nature as well - their work seeks to dissolve boundaries between building and environment. WOS's name itself exemplifies their multivalent approach - it can be read as three meaningless English letters, or interpreted from the Thai alphabet as meaning "enough." This openness to interpretation extends to their architectural language, which resists rigid codification in favor of nuanced, contextually-driven solutions. From compact urban renovations like the JY House to more expansive projects like the Little C Bakery Shop, WOS deftly navigates constraints with rational simplicity. Yet they also imbue each undertaking with a subtle ambiguity that provokes fresh perspectives. For this emerging studio, creativity arises from exploring possibility over probability - their practice is defined by simple, rational, yet delightfully multivalent outputs.
