Project - In the sun-scorched expanse of Lancaster, California, a remarkable transformation has taken place. The Sierra, a groundbreaking project by Kadre Architects, has reimagined a formerly blighted motel complex into a vibrant community for families transitioning out of homelessness. The 4-acre site now houses 38 transitional housing units, each enhanced by a striking solar porch that doubles the living area.
